DOUGLAS HALL  3  BANDON  4

Bandon under 12As travelled this weekend down to Douglas Hall, looking for 3 points to put them in second place in their league, which is exactly what they did. However they made it very hard for themselves with only 10 men, they had a bad start going down 1 nil in the first 10 minutes, this didnt affect Bandon as they came back with 3 great goals from Lee Holland, Connie O Donoghue and Colm Fogerty, this put Bandon 3  - 1 up at the break.
Bandon Came out in the second half asleep and allowed Douglas to score 2 goals in concession, it was man of the Match Connie O Donoghue with his second goal, that gave Bandon the 3 points that they needed to move up the table to second. Bandon now look forward going into the new year.

With the away team bringing on fresh legs, Bandon were under pressure, Strand utd pushed and pushed for an equaliser but couldnt find a way through Bandons Rock solid Back four, Rory Fogarty, James Moore, Kelvin Stone And Niall Seaman.with ten minutes left Strand  looked like that they were going to get the equaliser but with Alex O' Donoghue making fantactic saves he was going to make their job a difficult one, with 5 minutes left it was Bandon who stretched their lead with a great goal from Micheal O' Donoghue to make it 2 - 0, Strand finally beat O' Donoghue in the Bandon goal in the last minute. BANDON 2  BALLINHASSIG 1

Bandon opened their league account with a  win over local rivals Ballinhassig. Bandon started brightly and took the lead after 5 mins when a lovely ball from Mark kingtson was sent to Bandons captain, David O' Neill , and the skipper made no mistake to put Bandon ahead. It wasnt long before it became 2 - 0 when Darren holland found himself free in the box, Holland took it down well, then chipped the keeper and made it, a great start for Bandon. 2  - 0 up but, it could have been 5 or 6 with Micheal O' Donoghue, Anthony Minahane and O' Niell coming close but it was the away side, who scored the next goal with 2 mins to half time. The second half started with Ballinhassig well on top searching for an equaliser, But Bandons Kelvin Stone and James Moore were determined in Defence to keep them out, with Bandon playing a high line searching for a third goal, Ballinhassig caught them on the break and were in, one on one, but they were denied by a great save from goalkeeper Alex O' Donoghoe and with 5 minutes left it was the same man who again denied Ballinhassig with a world class save. Bandon finished well and should have got a third when Subs Lee Holland and Josh O' Regan almost found the net. This was a great result for this young team with every player giving a 100%.
